Created for the Garden Design Show at the Nassau County Museum of Art, this exhibit led visitors along stepping stone paths through lush gardens and over a bridge to a gazebo overlooking a tranquil pond. A stream ran under the cedar bridge and wove its way through rock gardens, eventually becoming a cascading waterfall flowing into a pond. The garden design included benches to provide quiet places for visitors to sit and take in the sights and sounds of the garden. Garden Design Nassau County

A circular stone wall surrounds a lovely formal fountain, as water flows from a jug on the statue’s shoulder to a small pool surrounded by water lilies, cannas, dwarf grasses and hostas. A group of very slow growing Mound Hinoki Cypress is planted on the rock edge. Dwarf perennials grow in the wall cracks. Visitors may gather on the patio to enjoy the view of the reflecting pond and waterfall beyond. Bridge and arbor byRomancing the WoodsGarden Design Nassau County
