This permanent garden installation on the 11th floor of 30 Rockefeller Center brings nature to the City. A reflecting pond bordered by water worn rock ridges creates a dramatic contrast to the sights of the New York City below. A grouping of birches pick up on the color of the surrounding buildings and give this garden a woodland feel despite being 11 stories high. Water lilies float aimlessly on the pond, contributing to the tranquil feel. St. Patrick’s Cathedral is seen in the background.
