A waterfall on Long Island, designed and built by Emil Kreye & Son, plummets eight feet to the pond below. Rock work and plantings give the impression that the waterfall has been there forever. The waterfall design includes a moss rock retaining wall that retains the grade. Stepping stones lead across the pond to stone steps which take a visitor up and over the waterfall for a view from above. A seating area overlooks the falls. What was previously a sand hill was turned into a serene retreat. In a pond that wraps partially around the house, colorful koi and goldfish wander through the expansive environment at this East Norwich, Long Island residence .
